Our Story Begins with Compassion and Purpose
Founded in 2025 in Long Island, New York, SpectrumCare Companions was created by Bernhard Sengstock Jr., Founder and Child Therapist, driven by a lifelong passion for supporting children, teens, and young adults with autism and developmental differences.
SpectrumCare Companions is a respite and caregiver agency devoted to making a meaningful impact in the lives of people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to provide families with true relief — giving parents and caregivers confidence knowing their loved ones are safe, supported, and genuinely looked after.
Inspired by his vision of making daily life smoother, more engaging, and more meaningful, Bernhard built SpectrumCare Companions on a foundation of empathy, structure, and trust. Our mission remains simple yet powerful: to provide person-centered, in-home companion services that foster life skills, independence, and emotional support for every individual and their family.
